Yesterday, Sunday 17 November, a jetliner crashed on landing in
Tatarstan, a region of Russia. In the accident died 50 people, 44 of these ones
were passengers and 6 members of the crew. The victims ages are between 13 and
87.
The president of the Russian republic of
Tatarstan have declared Monday a day of mourning
while rescue crews are still looking for the bodies in the wreckage. The list of passengers has
been published but it hasn’t been found all the bodies yet.
It’s still unknown the reason why the plane
has crashed and moreover the flight and data recorders haven’t been located.
It seems that the pilot tried two times to
land before the plane, which was 23 years old, finally slammed on the ground.
Opinion:
The
sad reality is that all the passengers of the plane have died and even the
progress in technology and that always it seems that it will be the last
accident, these ones still happen. Nonetheless if we look at the people that
travel every day in plane there are very little deaths but in this case
probably the accident has been caused by a negligence because the plane had
been 23 years flying and it had had previous problems.
New learnt words:
-mourning
-wreckage
-slammed
