Book review

Deception Point

I read this book in English, because we had to read a book for English class. There were a lot of books to choose, but I chose because of the title that is a bit mysterious and it doesn't give you any information of the book and because it was one of the non-adapted books which gave more points to read it.

I only read 110 pages of the book because it was what I have to do but it was quite good. The part of story I have read it it's very interesting but there are too much descriptions of places and characters (that probably could be justified because I have read only the first pages) and all them are a bit extravagant. The story is very mysterious because it happens things and you don't know exactly what is happening after some pages.

Apart from that the book tells the story of parallel happenings in the same time but of different characters.

The plot of the story is about a girl called Rachel whose father is a senator (called Sexton) who is applying to be the president. Rachel works for the government making important briefs for the president, so she is in the middle of his father and the president. Sexton's campaign is especially against the NASA overspending and uselessness. In this situations it seems that, when Sexton is going to win the presidential elections soon, NASA have made an important discovery. The president wants that Rachel and some independent scientists go there to see the discovery and make sure that is not an invention of the NASA. It seems that is the most important breakthrough ever done. Since this moment the story starts and...

I can't tell any more because I haven't read it all, and I know the discovery but I won't say it here because you will have to read it if you feel interested.

Obviously I don't know the final but for the title, probably the discovery isn't true or something like that.

I have to say that I would recommend this book because I don't like too much to read, but I have liked a lot this book and it has been very catchy.

Finally I have to say that I liked a lot this book and I probably will read the whole book, but this time in Catalan because it was a bit difficult for all the complex vocabulary that I had to search in every page.
