New euro banknotes

Months ago I heart a news in the television that said that it would be new euro banknotes (definition) and I feel very interested in this topic and especially I wanted to see the new banknotes. The other day I heart again that news saying that these new banknotes are starting to being introduced and I became, again, interested in this, so I decided to search information and to make a post about that.

This 2nd may the new five euro banknotes have been launched. The European Central Bank has started with this project to make our banknotes more secure.
They can be easy check by the "Feel, look, tilt (definition)" method, like the older ones because you can see the emerald (definition) number that with the light changes to deep blue. They will change the banknotes increasingly but currently , only 5 euro banknotes have been changed. The old banknotes will be able to use but they will be withdrawn (definition) gradually. Moreover they have impressed the portrait (definition) of the Greek mythological figure called Europe. They have added this portrait because of the clear association of the name of the continent and the mythological figure and because they say that this will provides a human touch to the banknotes.

Opinion:
Firstly, I was very interested in this topic because is an important change in our daily life, but I have to confess that I haven't seen any of these new banknotes yet. Secondly, I think it could be useful to improve the security of the banknotes and finally, I have to say that I like more these new banknotes because they seem different and newer, but what they say that with this portrait of the Europe figure makes the banknotes more "human", I don't agree, because if you look to the American banknotes you can see human faces of important people that provides that sensation to the viewer but in this case a small portrait of a mythological figure in a border and like a watermark doesn't make this sensation.

Word I've learnt: They are used and linked in the text.
