I think that this two stories are very different but they have some basic things in common like the Tracy and Adrian both are adolescents, with difficult situations at home and with low self-esteem. Apart of this basic similarities the stories happen completely different.
In thirteen Tracy is a young girl very influenciable that changes from a good student to a promiscuous rebel adolescent who cuts herself. I think that Evie is fault in this change because Tracy copy the behaviour of Evie, so Tracy is fault too in her change. I think the to main characters seems older than 13 but and the story is a bit false because is a bit exesibe that with 13 years an adolescent cut herself, uses drugs and has sex. For all this things she have a bad relationship with her parents because they want the better for her and she don't understand this.
On the other hand is Adrian Mole that is a shy adolescent and I think that the book is more boring than thirteen but is more realistic too. Apart of this Adrian has some stupid problems like a bully that hit him and he take care of an old man.
In my opinion I think that the adolescence is not like Adrian Mole or like thirteen but an intermediate of the both.
