Is the honesty the best policy?

I’d like to begin by saying that in our society, people tell a lot of lies and it’s normal to hear lies everywhere and tell lies to friend to don’t hurt people feelings, but you can tell white lies too in school about homework, to go out to your parents or something else.

Although, sometimes you should lie for other reasons. An example of this would be to don’t tell the truth to somebody that is going to die or don’t tell bad words to your friend or to the family of somebody that has just died.

However, it could be argued that sometimes you should tell the truth, but I think that if you know that you tell the truth you will receive consequences, you could lie, but at the same time you should tell the truth when you know that you will be discovered or when you don’t lose or gain anything by telling a lie.

To summarize, then I think that with all these examples and arguments, is obvious that in our society couldn’t exist without telling lies because we have normalized the lies and they have become a part of the daily life. And now we usually tell lies without feeling bad because we see this as normal behavior.
