With all this problem of the independence of Catalonia the northern Catalonia in France has joined to the problem, and now they want the independence too. They say that Barcelona have been always their capital because Paris is much far and they identify themselves like Catalans.
For the moment there isn't problems but if Catalonia will arrive to be a country, will be a lot of problems with France for the people of these region, but if you look this with an overview it's normal this because, historically this part of France it was Catalonia and a lot of people there speaks Catalan, although that the French government doesn't recognise the Catalan like an official language.
Now they have started displaying bright red and yellow flags on the balconies of their hoses, and they feel more Catalan than ever because they see that a change in their lives is possible but in my opinion this is more difficult than the Catalonia independence because no everybody speaks Catalan and there is less people that wants the independence than here.
